I am a Clinical Nurse Navigator at Tennessee Valley Gynecologic Oncology in Huntsville, Alabama, where I have been for 13 years. We are the only gyn oncology office in North Alabama and Southern TN, which means I am the only nurse navigator in the area. I started as a medical assistant and obtained my RN license in 2015. I didn’t know gyn onc world existed until I was hired in 2011, since then I have developed a true passion for the field and my patients, most people can tell by my teal hair. I’m married with two kids age 13 and 10 and a two dog mom. My spare time is usually spent at the softball field with my daughter. I am excited to be a part of SGNO board and hope to continue to learn from others around the country and grow professionally as a gyn oncology nurse and to share my knowledge and passion with colleagues and those who may not know that we exist.
